By accessing or making a purchase from our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not proceed with your purchase.

1. General Information

Koala NZ Limited is a New Zealand-based retailer of used mobile phones and new accessories. All prices listed on our website are in AUD and include GST unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to our website.

2. Eligibility to Purchase

By placing an order with Koala NZ, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

  • You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when placing an order.

3. Shipping and Delivery

New Zealand Orders:

  • Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days.

  • Standard delivery times are 1–4 working days depending on your location.

Australia Orders:

  • Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days.

  • Standard delivery times are 4–10 working days depending on destination and customs processing.

Shipping times are estimates and may vary due to external factors beyond our control (e.g., postal delays, public holidays, customs inspections).

4. Returns and Refunds

  • Returns are accepted within 25 days of the purchase date.

  • Items must be in their original condition, with all packaging and accessories included.

  • The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

  • A 25% restocking fee applies to all returns, which will be deducted from the refund.

  • Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method once the returned item is received and inspected.

We recommend using a tracked shipping method for returns. Koala NZ is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

5. Warranty

All used phones sold by Koala NZ are tested and in full working condition unless stated otherwise. We provide a 30-day limited warranty on all devices for manufacturing or operational faults (not including accidental damage, water exposure, or misuse).

Accessories are covered by any applicable manufacturer warranties.

6. Product Descriptions and Condition

We aim to describe all products accurately, including cosmetic condition and functionality. However, as used phones may have minor wear, product photos and descriptions should be considered as general guides.

If a product arrives in a condition significantly different from what was described, please contact us within 5 working days of receiving the item.

7. Payment and Security

Payments are processed securely via trusted third-party platforms (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not store or have access to your credit card information.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order with Koala NZ, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions, including:

  • Shipping timelines

  • Return responsibilities and restocking fees

  • Warranty terms

  • Use of third-party payment processors

9. Limitation of Liability

Koala NZ is not liable for:

  • Any loss or damage resulting from delays in shipping

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Issues arising from incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the buyer

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
